This book is a stunner! A fantastic coffee table piece filled with 100 illustrations of famous French paintings (50 photogravures & 50 wood engravings). Leather binding with gilt lettering, gilt fore edges, marbled endpapers, and highly illustrated. The binding is super solid, no loose or missing pages, and barely any foxing. Disclaimers: wear to the corner and spine leather, minor cracking to spine but otherwise solid, and some wear marks to front and back boards. A previous owners label is on the back of the front board, Arthur H. Hosford. A very fine condition book! One of the best condition volumes I’ve come across.
