Antique set of A Short History of the English People.This is an extraordinarily well-preserved library set of four complete volumes published by Harper & Brothers in 1893-1895. They are absolutely full of illustrations--color plates (some with gilt embellishments), fold-outs, maps, beautiful engravings, diagrams. Original bindings with some library information hand-lettered on spines. These are heavy books (approx. 4 lbs each). So good! Bindings are tight with some bumping to corners and some superficial marks on covers here and there.
