Antique 19c English Victorian era fabric portrait of baby King Edward VI. Ok, this is probably one of the coolest pieces I’ve found. It’s entirely made out of different types of fabric. It even looks like his hair is real hair. The details are incredible. It’s pretty amazing how they did it! The portrait is in pristine condition. There are minor nicks to the frame but it’s otherwise excellent.
Edward VI is the only surviving son of King Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour (divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived). Now sing that in your head all day. He ruled England and Ireland from the ages of 9 until 15 when he died.
