Large antique 19c French Tahan Sevres (style) ormolu mounted kingwood jewelry casket or table box. Sigh. The faces, the detailing, the hand painted porcelain. This is one pretty lady. Her parquetry pattern is fabulous and there’s beautiful detailing on almost every part of ormolu. She has green velvet interior that is all intact. Signed ‘Tahan Rue de la Paix 30’ dating this between 1849-1866. Overall she is in gorgeous condition but does have a few disclaimers so see below. They do not detract from her fabulousness!

Disclaimers: No key but she opens, closes, and clicks securely. She is missing 3 pieces of metal; a face that should be on the back hinge, and two pieces from the right side. One of those pieces was attached to a back foot that is missing. You wouldn’t even know she’s missing a foot because the other 3 feet and decorative pieces in between keep her stable and she doesn’t tilt or wobble. There is one small piece of wood that has come off on the right back top side. It almost goes unnoticed. Her velvet is all intact and soft but it does have stains. Patina in all the right places.
