Antique 19c (1840-1890) French blackened jewelry box, signed Tahan Paris. This is such a fabulously sweet box! Working original key, lovely interior fabric is in almost perfect condition, brass marquetry and inlay. There are some minor marks to the top but you can barely notice them and they don’t quite show up in pictures. Just thought I’d mention. Closes tightly and very clean. The edges and decorative elements are NOT painted on. That is actually brass detailing. Amazing!!
