Antique late 19c Napoleon III Style Glove Box
This is the cutest box! Black lacquered with gold and white hand painted flower detail. The top border has the best raised wood detail. In great condition. No major flaws to the wood. The only disclaimer is that I can’t figure out how to get the key to actually lock. The mechanism may be broken. It turns and clicks but doesn’t lock. The box itself closes perfectly though. Great for holding mini books! The ones in the picture are 6.5x4 (not included).
