Antique early 19c nine volume full leather set of History of England. Published by William Brown, Philadelphia 1821 & 1822. They cover the invasion of Julius Caesar through the reign of George III. All the bindings are tight and the gilded spines look fabulous on a shelf. There is wear to the leather, corners bumped, most boards have cracked and been glued but all are intact and holding on tight with no separation. Pages are moderately foxed and darkened. Overall an attractive set for 200+ years old!
