This is the most exquisite little antique French miniature oil painting in an equally fabulous ormolu frame. Dating to about 1880, the oil painting is beautifully executed featuring a girl with huge eyes, pink cheeks and a lovely smile. Makes me long for spring! The frame has a decorative brass surround and a stunning laurel garland crest with lovely muted velvet. Adorned with ormolu embellishments, sweet little bow detail, flower garland swag…sigh.
In beautiful condition but please examine all pictures - The back of the frame has a little kick stand that doesn’t go back too far and sits perfectly. There is also loop for hanging.
