Antique volumes of French set Duchesse D’Abrantes (vol V & VIII). I normally don’t buy books I can’t read but these were too pretty to pass up! Half leather binding with fabulous moody marbled covers and end papers that remind me of a Monet painting. No date but based on publisher circa late 1800s to early 1900s. Gilded top fore edge and decorated gilded wreath spines! I’m in love with this binding. A solid set with only minor foxing and age darkening. French language.
