Fabulous multi-item set includes a Napoleon III era game box, antique French puzzle, and an early 1900s French board game.
Napoleon III era game chest. Ebony marquetry box with key and polychrome bone tokens. There is an almost complete deck of Grimaud cards (missing the King of Hearts). I don’t believe these are original to the game box but they’re old. The key works and latches but it can be fickle and not stick sometimes.

1890s French chromolithograph puzzle titled La Kermesse (The Event). In great condition. The top and bottom right pieces appear to be touched up but blend in.

Classic early 1900s French board game, Jeu du Nain-Jaune or Game of Yellow Dwarf (a nickname for the 7 of diamonds). Original wooden game box that contains 5 wooden trays and a cover that slides in. The game goes back to a fairy tale by French noblewoman, Baroness d’Aulnoy, dated 1689. The game originated from the fairy tale in 1760 in the French region of Lorraine. Overall good condition with some minor wear.
