Fabulously rich burgundy half leather binding with marbled boards, fore edges, and endpaper. Some minor wear to boards and leather. Very clean interior with bookplate from Sir Edward Green, Bart. A scarce early set that is in overall very good+ condition.
Sir Edward Green (1821-1923) was an English iron master and conservative politician, sitting in the House of Commons from 1885-1892.
