Vintage wall plaques with antique pewter military silhouettes. These are US Army mounted riflemen from the War of 1812. The United States had a specialized army fleet called Dragoons and Cavalry that fought on horseback, starting during the Revolutionary War. The Dragoons rode horses but dismounted for combat while the Cavalry fought mostly on horseback.
